Hervorragende Bewertungen für Montes im Wine Advocate

Montes Alpha M JG 2009: 93 Punkte: ''The 2009 Montes Alpha M is a blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 5% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot. It offers a raucous, fruit-driven nose of blackberry, bilberry, licorice and vanilla that has a lot of glycerin lying underneath. The palate is full-bodied with dark chocolate covered cherries; Asian spice, white pepper and a muscular finish with layers of concentrated dark berries. It is a wine of dimension and power, but it is well crafted and what could have been an overbearing wine is highly enjoyable and worth cellaring.'' Wine Advocate Dezember 2012

Montes Folly JG 2008: 92 Punkte: ''The 2008 Montes Folly is a pure Syrah grown from the highest slopes of the “La Finca de Apalta” vineyard and cropped at less than 4-tons of fruit per hectare. It has an intense nose of creme de cassis, blueberry and raspberry coulis that is opulent and yet still well defined and fresh. The palate is medium-bodied with rounded, licorice-infused black fruits that build towards a decadent, voluptuous finish shrouded in glycerin. The tang of raspberry and kirsch lingers long in the mouth.'' Wine Advocate Dezember 2012

Montes Alpha Cabernet Sauvignon JG 2010: 91 Punkte: The 2010 Montes Alpha Cabernet Sauvignon is blended with 10% Merlot and aged for 12 months in French oak. It has a lifted floral bouquet with raspberry wine gums and wild strawberry, while the palate is medium-bodied with grippy tannins, red currant and raspberry laced with vanilla towards the crisp finish. It is composed, harmonious and packs sufficient fruit to leave you satisfied at this price.'' Wine Advocate Dezember 2012

Montes Purple Angel JG 2009: 90 Punkte: ''The 2009 Montes Purple Angel is a blend of 92% Carmenere and 8% Petit Verdot sourced from Apalta and cooler, coastal Marchigue estates. It has a powerful bouquet of raspberry, wild strawberry, melted tar and dried flowers. The palate has a ripe, rounded entry with good definition, spicy black fruit, and touches of licorice, thyme and white pepper all vying for attention. It builds nicely in the mouth to a dense, tarry finish and forms a satisfying Carmenere.'' Wine Advocate Dezember 2012

Montes Alpha Syrah JG 2010: 90 Punkte: ''The 2010 Montes Alpha Syrah comes from the Apalta sub-region in Colchagua and is blended with 7% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Viognier. It has a reticent nose that unfurls to reveal copious blueberry and cassis fruit laced with vanilla. The palate is full-bodied with a layer of creamy oak smeared over the spicy black fruit on the entry, though it shows good weight towards the powerful finish. Give this Syrah twelve months to calm down in bottle.'' Wine Advocate Dezember 2012

Montes Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon JG 2011: 90 Punkte: ''The 2011 Montes Classic Cabernet Sauvignon is blended with 15% Merlot and offers a simple black currant, vanilla and violet bouquet that is joyful and well defined. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent tannin, crisp raspberry and dark cherry fruit, zesty acidity and lovely focus on the finish. At this price, it would be hard to find a better Cabernet.'' Montes Twins JG 2011: 89 Punkte: ''The 2011 Montes Twins is an equal blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec that has an attractive lifted, floral bouquet with touches of creme de cassis, black currant, mint and orange blossom. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy ripe tannins, good acidity and tons of succulent, juicy black, vanilla-infused fruit on the dry, grainy finish. This is simple but enjoyable.''
